    Please take care when ordering that you know what size and type of dome you require. If in doubt please ask our advice or alternatively the company that supplied your hearing aids.

    The design and the packaging of some of these domes has changed recently. For the newer S, M P domes, instead of a black blister pack the new packs are white, the design of the domes is different and also the colour. The domes have changed from a clear to a dark colour, the idea being that the domes sit deep in the ear and the dark colour matches the shadow in the ear making them less noticeable.

    As the old stock with the black blister packs deplete they will be replaced by the white blister packs, dark domes and different design but the new and old domes are interchangeable. Once you see the white packs the black packs will no longer be available.

    This applies only to to the newer S, M, P domes, the older ‘1’ receiver domes and Micro / Elan domes are unchanged.

    If you are wearing a Widex RIC hearing aid (with a receiver, or speaker in the ear, rather than sending sound down a thin tube), at the part that sits in your ear canal you will have a white receiver with a letter or number on it. It is VERY IMPORTANT that you make a note of the letter (S, M, or P) or number (1) to ensure you order the correct type of dome for your hearing aids. You need to choose the receiver type from the drop down box.

    Examples of Widex RIC hearing aids are Widex Passion, Widex Clear Passion, Widex Clear Fusion, Widex Super, Widex Dream Passion and Widex Dream Fusion.

    Widex Micro Tube domes are suitable for Widex Micro BTE hearing aids with slim tubing (and NOT with a receiver, or speaker, in the ear). Examples of Widex Micro BTE’s are Flash M, Real M, Inteo M, Mind M and Clear M, also with Widex Elan models. They are not interchangeable with Widex RIC hearing aids that have a receiver or speaker in the ear. Widex Open Domes for Micro and Elan tubing are available as a short and a long fitting, we can supply the short fitting by request but recommend the long fitting by default. It is far more popular and more secure on the tubing. Unless you let us know you want a short dome we will ship a long fitting open dome by default.

    All domes come in packs of 10. The picture above shows from the top, typical examples of an open dome, a plus (tulip) dome, and a power dome.

    Widex don’t specify sizes in mm for their domes but the extra small open domes are approximately 6mm diameter at the base, small open domes are approximately 7-8mm diameter at the base and the large open domes are approximately 10-11mm at the base.

    Double (power) domes are approximately 6mm for Extra Small, 8mm for Small, 10mm for Medium and 11mm for Large.

    Widex have also recently introduced an extra size of Tulip dome, the old Standard size is now Large Tulip and there is a new size which is a little smaller, Medium. If you have used Standard tulip domes previously and find them good we suggest you order Large Tulip.

    For all variants of Widex domes, they are available in these sizes;

    Open domes – Extra Small, Small and Large

    Tulip domes – Medium and Large (Standard) Size

    Double (power) domes – Extra Small, Small, Medium and Large

    Flextips are also available for the older ‘1’ receivers – 11mm, 10mm, 9mm and 8mm by special order only, please email us if you require them.

    If you order the wrong size / type of dome but can return unopened and in a re-saleable condition we are happy to replace with the correct item, however we cannot accept opened packets that we cannot re-sell.
